Affiliates

Let the people who love it sell it for you

People apply and you approve, or everyone who buys takes a link at once. Each affiliate gets a page of their own with their clicks, sales and what they are owed. You pay them from your own PayPal in one press, or by itself on your payday: every sale lands in full in your own Stripe account, and nothing is held.

Working todayOn the $29 plan, and on Pro

How your program runs

  1. 1

    Set the terms

A share of 1% to 90%, for the whole store or product by product, and a window of 1 to 90 days after a click.

  2. 2

    Approve who you want

People apply on your store's affiliate page with an email address they confirm, and nobody is in until you say so. Or switch on buyers joining without applying: the thanks page and the purchase email offer everyone who buys their own link, approved at once.

  3. 3

    Pay what is owed

Connect your own PayPal Business account and pay everyone owed in one press, or let it pay by itself on your payday. Or download the batch for PayPal or Wise and mark it paid.

Paid from your PayPal, not from money we hold

Stan pays affiliates out of your sale, on its $99 plan, after holding it for 7 business days. We never hold your money: your sale lands in full in your Stripe account at once, and your affiliates are paid from your own PayPal, in one press or by itself on your payday, on the $29 plan. It needs a PayPal Business account with PayPal's Payouts switched on, and PayPal charges you its own fee on each payment.

What the program keeps track of

  • A page for each affiliateTheir link, their clicks, their sales, what they earned and what you paid them. They never see who the buyers were.
  • Last click winsThe most recent affiliate link a buyer followed, inside your window, gets the sale.
  • Worked out fairlyThe share is a percentage of what was paid, before tax. A refund on your Stripe account cancels it, and a partial refund reduces it.
  • Hard to gameNo commission on an affiliate's own purchase, a click counted once per visitor per day, and your own clicks not counted.
  • The book, as a fileDownload who is owed what as a CSV, and note each payment with its date and reference.
  • Up to 1,000 peoplePer store, applications included. You approve or decline each one.
  • A share for one affiliateGive your best partner 40% while everyone else earns 20%: 1% to 90% for one affiliate, on every product except those you set to 0%. Sales already made keep what they earned.
  • They choose where PayPal pays themOn their own page, each affiliate gives the PayPal address to pay them at, and the address they joined with hears of every change. Otherwise they are paid at the address they joined with.

What it does not do

  • Paying through us is PayPal only, from a PayPal Business account with Payouts switched on, to the email address each affiliate joined with; an affiliate with no PayPal account there has 30 days to claim it, or it comes back to you and stays owed. Wise or a bank transfer is a file you upload yourself.
  • A PayPal account in Brazil can send these payments only in Brazilian reais, to accounts in Brazil, under PayPal's own terms there, so paying through us does not work from one; the batch file still does.
  • Memberships and payment plans earn no commission; one-off sales and booked calls do.
  • A dispute on your Stripe account does not cancel a commission by itself: check your dashboard before you pay.
  • Contracts, tax forms and payments between you and your affiliates are yours to arrange.

Questions about affiliates

Does Marktmorgen take a cut of affiliate sales?

No. 0% of every sale, as on any other. The full amount lands in your Stripe account, and the affiliate's share is yours to pay.

How is a sale tied to an affiliate?

Their link is your store's address with their code on the end. Following it leaves a cookie on your store's own address with the code and the time of the click, and a purchase inside your window is credited to them. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Brazil, whose rules require consent first, are asked in one line on the page, and the cookie is set when they allow it.

What does someone need to join?

An email address they can open. They apply on your store's affiliate page, confirm with the link we email, and you approve them in your studio. If you let buyers join without applying, a buyer presses Get my link on the thanks page or follows the link in their purchase email, and joins with the address they paid with. Anyone you declined or removed stays out.
